OUR COMPUTER'S PARTS

The CPU is the brain of the computer where most calculations take place. In terms of computing power, the CPU is the most important element of a computer system.

The Motherboard is the main printed circuit board found in computers and other expandable systems. It holds and allows communication between many of the crucial electronic components of a system, such as CPU and memory, and provides connectors for other peripherals. Contains significant sub-systems such as the processor and other components.

The RAM is a form of computer data storage. Device allows data items to be accessed in almost the same amount of time irrespective of the physical location of data inside the memory. The time required to read and write data items varies significantly depending on their physical locations on the recording medium, due to mechanical limitations such as media rotation speeds and arm movement delays.

The USB is a data storage that includes flash memory. They are removable and rewritable, and smaller than an optical disc. USBs are used for storage, data back-up and transfer of computer files. They are smaller, faster, have thousands of times more capacity, and are more durable and reliable than CDs.

Peripheral is a device that is used to put information into or get information out of the computer.
